Shine Forward Grant Programs
The Shine Forward Foundation supports women rebuilding their lives through two core programs: Individual Emergency Relief and Grant Awards to Nonprofits.
Emergency Relief
Emergency relief funds provide direct, practical support to women navigating a difficult transition and working toward stability. Funds are released periodically throughout the year, with applications accepted for a 3 to 4 week window ahead of each award cycle.
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate financial need and identify a specific purpose for the funds requested, including but not limited to rent, utilities, or tuition. Awards are paid directly to the vendor or service provider, for example a landlord, utility company, or school, rather than to the applicant.
After an application is reviewed, a brief phone call may be scheduled to learn more about the applicant's circumstances. Income verification is required as part of the process.

Applications will be accepted from July 28 through August 18, 2026. All applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their application by September 4, 2026.
Non-Profit Grant Awards
Each year, the Shine Forward Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations whose programming helps women in need build a fresh start after hard times. Awards are determined through a committee review process.
The application period is announced each year on social media and in our newsletter, and applications are collected digitally.
Organizations that advance to the final stage of review may be asked to participate in a Zoom interview with program leaders.
